Community Nature Walk Assignment

This assignment is designed to get students outside exploring their surroundings including documenting and writing about their experiences. Students will need to go to three different places such as their own backyard, city and/or county parks. Students will need to keep a field journal for each location and provide documentation by taking pictures.  Plants, animals and birds will need to be identified by using a variety of resources including books and on-line references. All of their findings will be uploaded to make a community nature walk for Billings. A voicethread or smilebox presentation will be created by students as well as a poem. This will be a very fun and enjoyable month long activity.
